Pamela Zabel, MScPhm, BScPhm: Pam is an Assistant Professor in Medical Imaging at the University of Western Ontario and a Researcher at the Lawson Health Research Institute. She is the Coordinator of the Regional Nuclear Pharmacy in London and has 28 years of experience in Radiopharmacy and has a Specialty Certification in Radiopharmacy from European Association of Nuclear Medicine as well as Certification in Business Administration. Pam completed her Graduate Studies at the University Alberta, Edmonton with post-graduate research in Essen and Heidelberg, Germany. She has taught many of the current and resident Canadian Nuclear Medicine Physician Specialists with a Radiopharmacy Course (35 hour course). Pam has been a Committee Member on Task Forces with Health Canada: Radiopharmaceutical Quality Assurance, PET GMP, Nuclear Medicine Alliance of Canada. She is presently Past-President of Canadian Association of Radiopharmaceutical Scientists and was previously President of the Eastern Great Lakes Chapter of Society of Nuclear Medicine and Society of Nuclear Medicine in Canada. Pam also just completed 7 years on the Board of the Canadian Society of Nuclear Medicine. Along with 3 patents, Pam has 27 peer-reviewed journal articles, 40 invited lectures and 48 scientific presentations/abstracts. A current CIHR grant is related to clinical trials and regulatory licensing of her patented colloid to help with lymph node detection in Cancer.
